Mufulira Wanderers VS Nkana
Shinde Stadium
15:00hrs
There is still a chance Nkana could finish second in the league if they beat Mufulira Wanderers and Konkola Blades while Green Buffaloes and Zanaco lose all their remaining games. Furthermore, Nkana could still win the league if all the top three lose their games and they beat Mufulira Wanderers and Konkola Blades. Good dream.
Otherwise, Nkana look set to finish fourth as long as they avoid defeat against Mufulira Wanderers, a side who are facing a season of uncertainty and upheaval.
Justin Chinama has survived relegation elsewhere but I think this is the biggest challenge he is facing and I think he is struggling to put a team that he can rely on to get the three points in this encounter.
If Mufulira Wanderers lose this game, they will slowly be confirming playing division one football next season, their relegation fears were thrown straight at them at that away loss to Nchanga Rangers in the mid-week and they are set to finish in the bottom four if they don’t turn around their season in these two tough encounters against Nkana and Zesco United on the last day.
It’s not all dusted, they could shock Nkana in this encounter and pile pressure on Kabwe Warriors who are away to Lusaka Dynamos in the capital. Any point that they get in this encounter coupled with a victory of Lusaka Dynamos in Lusaka will get the Mufulira outfit out of the red zone.
Nkana is the form team here and the entire league coming into week 37, they wouldn’t want to spoil their good run in the last six games, but Mighty will have this game as the most important game in recent times and Shinde Stadium will rapture.
Am thinking the players will come to the party and shock Nkana.
Prediction: Mufulira Wanderers 1-0 Nkana
