As Comoros Ligue de Ngazidja side Ngaya Club prepare for a new season, Chairman Ali Mohamed is bracing himself for the title, noting that it is in his accomplishment-list to retain the title and steer his club to the next years CAF Champions League group stages.
“We have a new season coming and we strive to be at our best.We are having good prepaprations,”said Mohamed in an interview with Soka25east.
Ngaya clinched the title in the 2016 season but lost out to Yanga of Tanzania in the 2017 Africa Cup Champions League after being held to a 1-1 draw away in Dar having lost 5-1 at home to the Tanzanian giants.
The defending champions will open their title defence aganist newly promoted side FC Hantsindzi at the Stadia de Moroni on Saturday March 11.
Ngaya bagged all the major trophies last season winning the Championship,League Cup and Super Cup tournaments.
