Mohammed Salisu has joined Southampton FC from Real Valladolid for a fee of £11m. The English club have confirmed.
The 6 feet 3i nches Ghanaian centre-back signed the dotted lines in a 4-year deal.
Prior to his move, Salisu was heavily linked to English Premier League sides, Manchester United, Everton, WestHam United and French club Rennes.
Salisu joined Real Valladolid’s youth setup in October 2017 from local side African Talent Football Academy and has made 34 first-team appearances.
Previously, he played for Kumasi Barcelona Babies now known as Corners Babies and trained with Ghana Premier League side, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) for two years.
The 21 year-old is yet to be capped by Ghana.
Per reports in the UK, once, he touches down, he will go into a 14-day mandatory quarantine due to coronavirus control measures.
