TP Mazembe players are in for a big payoff after billionaire owner Moise Katumbi rewarded the team for their progress to the finals of the CAF Champions League with $400,000.

Mazembe secured qualification to their 7th finals of the Champions League with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Al Merreikh on Sunday in Lubumbashi.

Patrice Carteron’s side had suffered a 2-1 reverse in the first leg encounter against the Sudanese giants a fortnight ago.

The Ravens shook off an uninspiring first half to score three goals in the second period to secure their place in the finals where they will now face USM Alger.

Katumbi who is the governor of diamond-rich Katanga Province has promised the team an even bigger reward if they are able to clinch the CAF Champions League title.
