Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has appointed Frenchman Reynaldo Pedros as the head coach of its women’s football team.
This move comes a few months after the FRMF unveiled its plans to develop women’s football in the North African nation.
Pedros is a coach of immense experience. Between 2017 and 2019, he managed French giants Olympique Lyon. He led them to a 12th and 13th Division 1 Féminine Championship, and also retained the UEFA Women’s Champions League titles for the third and fourth time.
The former France international won the 2018 FIFA Women’s coach of the year.He will also oversee the women’s championship and youth selection.
