Mohammed Ihattaren has recently broken into the PSV Eindhoven first-team and the young midfielder is now in a tug of war between Netherlands and Morocco.
The 17-year-old has represented Netherlands at various youth levels and is currently part of Oranje U19’s. However, until he makes his competitive debut for Netherlands, there is always the chance he could switch to Morocco.
Voetbal International state that several Moroccan media outlets are reporting that the nations’s football federation are hoping to convince Ihattaren to choose a future with the Atlas Lions.
Hakim Ziyech, Sofyan Amrabat and Noussair Mazraoui have all recently chosen Morocco over Oranje and they are hoping Ihattaren is next.
Ihattaren has played seven league matches for PSV so far this season and started their last two games. The attacking midfielder is considered to be one of Netherlands biggest talents and they will be eager to keep him in Oranje.
