Morocco’s coach Walid Regragui has said that he is happy with the draw against 2018 World cup runners up Croatia in what was a ding dong battle played at the Al Bayt Stadium .
Regragui praised his players for their resilience alluding to the fact they were playing a strong side that was highly ranked.
“I am happy with the draw we must not forget our opponents came into the much stronger than us but we managed to calm down and pushed them to the limit”
“We made mistakes and we will work on that when we play our next game however io feel we had opportunities that we shoud have utilised” Regragui said in the post match press conference.
“Croatia is a team that has been consistent and i am happy we did played effectively against them pushing them to the limit in the exciting game” he added.
“We will focus more on defensive duties while also working to ensure we get the elusive goals because in such competions you can only proceed by winning”he concluded.
Morocco play Belgium in their next game on Sunday .
