Barely a week after SC Villa Jogoo relieved their Spanish coach, Antonio Flores of his duties another Azam Uganda Premier League outfit Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football club has terminated the contract of their head coach, Moses Basena.

Club secretary Henry Mayeko has confirmed the sacking of a man who had just returned at the club for a second spell to soka25 east.

‘’Yes the management decided to let Basena go after yesterday’s home loss to The Saints and Kefa will act as coach until December or January when we expect to get a new head coach’’. Mayeko said in a telephone interview.

Basena’s job has been on a thread after a string of poor results since the start of the season.

Under Moses Basena, the former Lyatonde FC won just two of the eight games played, drawing and losing three apiece. They have scored eight goals conceding ten times sitting in an uncomfortable 10th position with 9 points.

He becomes the third Uganda Premier league coach to be shown the exit door this just after nine match days due to poor results.

The Saints F.C’s Harunah Kebba who was replaced by George ‘Best’ Nsimbe just after four games into the season became the first victim.

Basena is Uganda Cranes assistant coach.
