Taifa Stars attacking midfielder Simon Msuva has praised Mbwana Samatta saying he is an icon for local players.
Yesterday Samatta scored two goals that led Taifa Stars win against Botswana at National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking with this site Msuva said is an experience player who his presence encourage them to fight.
“He know what to do at the right time. He is an exceptional player and we proud to play with him,”said Young Africans player
Meanwhile, the leading top scorer in Tanzania premier League insists local players should work and use Samatta as an example to reach their goals.
“Talent is one thing but we need to fight for better. To compete with other giant team like Senegal, Cameroon and Egypt we need to have more experience players who play outside,”he added
On Tuesday Taifa Stars will play another international friend game against Burundi in Dar es Salaam.
