Mufulira Wanderers Vs Nakambala Leopards
Shinde Stadium
15:00hrs
Nakambala have had a torrid run of just one win in their last six games, with that sole victory coming in the mid-week in a game that took two days at home to Green Eagles.
This weekend they visit Mufulira Wanderers who are without defeat in the last five and are now counting back to back victories away from home to Napsa Stars and Konkola Blades, this current good late form is tailing off, following a long run of poor results in the first round of the league. While Nakambala Leopards have a more comfortable gap than the Mufulira outfit who may just get into the relegation zone should they lose at home, the sugar boys will be wary that they don’t fall too close to the edge, as they reach the end of the season back in the top flight since being called back after the increase of teams from 18-20 last season.
Both clubs will be looking for a victory to gain some breathing space from the relegation zone. Nakambala maybe on 40 points but this season, that milestone doesn’t look like it will be a safe zone.
The inconsistent nature of Mighty’s form throughout the course of the season has seen Justin ‘s side struggle to break away from danger, but as they face Nakambala Leopards, the team that have just one win from their last six games, the fans will be hoping they can get a result that can allow them to build a challenge to stay in the Super League. But Nakambala has gone out several times and collected points from difficult places and this maybe one of them.
Pressure at home may see Mighty only pick a point but fans will push for three points which may see them stay safe for another week before week 36 encounters. I think the sugar boys will fall, Mighty is in good form.
Prediction: Mufulira Wanderers 1-0 Nakambala Leopards
