Thirteen times Kenya Premier League champions AFC Leopards are reported to be courting Western Stima sensational midfielder Kenneth Muguna.
According to Kenya Premier League portal, Ingwe have made preliminary enquiries on the league most valuable player nominee, Muguna.
In an interview, the player revealed to the portal about the approach with a confession that he would have no problem making the big jump after studying the offer that will be put on the table.
“I have indeed received offers from three clubs including AFC, but AFC were the ones who approached me first, even before the season ended,” the up and coming Muguna said.
“When we played the last game against them one of the officials approached me and asked if I would be interested to play for them. I didn’t give him a straight answer as I was still bound by contract but now that the season is over I think I am ready to talk provided they follow the proper channels.”
He went on: “ I am thankful of the good season I have had with Western Stima and the fact that I have won one monthly award and been nominated for three others. God has been with me throughout the season and I thank him for that,”
“Stima has been my home for the entire season and has given me the platform to express myself, and I will only leave if the coach and my club managers are okay with it.”
However, Western Stima officials could not state whether there has been any discussions with Ingwe about the player.
Miguna has been an integral member of Western Stima after the departure of striker Baron Oketch to Gor Mahia during June transfer window.
