The Kenyan Premier League’s Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) has ordered Muhoroni Youth FC to compensate their former player,Wycliff Ochomo, for irregular breach of contract.
According to a ruling released by the IDCC on Wednesday and seen by soka25east ,the club is required to pay the player Ksh 112,000/= as salaries owed from the months of September 2016 to December 2016 and consequently judged that Ochomo was entitled to terminate his contract with Muhoroni “for just cause”.
IDCC has also directed Muhoroni to issue Kakamega Homeboyz bound Ochomo with his release letter within the next seven days.
The burly striker managed 12 league goals for Muhoroni and at the time of his suspension he was the joint leading top scorer in the Kenyan Premier League.
Immediately after his suspension,Ochomo through his lawyer asked to be released and notified KPL management.
This ruling comes few months after another case that involved the club whereby the management was ordered to compensate a trio for terminating contracts.
