Muhoroni Youth psyched up for a win against Nakuru All Stars
Three mouthwatering fixtures are lined up for you in the Kenya Premier League midweek fixtures starting tomorrow; two teams namely Muhoroni Youth and Nakuru All Stars will be hunting for the elusive first win of the season when they face off on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at the Afraha Stadium.
Nakuru All Stars Vs Muhoroni Youth
The match will kick off at 3PM; the two sides are winless so far, while All Stars will be playing their 4th match, Youth will be playing their third match..
Muhoroni CEO James Orundu blamed poor goalkeeping and lack of concentration at the back for the weekend loss in the hands of Thika United away in Thika, he believes they would have walked away with maximum points were it not for school boy mistakes by Youth’s first choice keeper Owiny.
“The loss came as a shocker to me, I was totally disappointed with our keeper, he played stunt goalkeeping, and he looked casual and careless”
However he is positive moving forward, “After the disappointment we sat down with the players and spotted the mistakes, corrected them and we are now psyched up for a win against Stars”Orundu told Soka25east.com
The Peter Okidi coached side on the other hand will be looking for inspiration from their spirited fight against Stima over the weekend to propel them to maiden win.
City Stars Vs Bandari FC
City Stars have shown resilience and a superb fighting spirit in their last two matches against AFC Leopards and Tusker FC respectively but football gods are yet to smile their way, they will be hoping to carry the same fighting spirit into this do or die encounter.
The on song Bandari on the other side will be seeking to stretch their fairy tale run in the league which has seen them record 2 wins a draw and a loss thus far; the Dockers are currently placed 3rd in the KPL log. David King’atua will once again be relied upon to score goals, the former Thika United man seems to have settled at the Coast based side and he has been scoring crucial goals.
The match kickoff at 4PM at City Stadium; the two sides have no injury worries.
Sofapaka Vs Mathare United
On Thursday April 2, 2015 Batoto ba Mungu as Sofapaka are famously known will be getting back to KPL action after a long rest, they will be making a comeback against the backdrop of poor showing at the continental platform going down 2-1 home and away to Platinum Stars of Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederations cup preliminary rounds.
The 2014 KPL runners up must keep pace with Champions Gor Mahia who are parched at the top of the table with 3 wins out of 3 and the Sam Timbe side will be going for nothing short of a win against the Slum boys. There are no injury concerns in his camp.
Mathare United on the other hand will be looking forward to bouncing back to winning ways, their last match against Chemelil was a 1-1 draw; the Stanley Okumbi side is currently 11th in the KPL log. The match will be played at the Nyayo Stadium starting 4PM.
