Muhuroni Youth have suspended striker Wycliffe Ochomo.
Last week’s reports had indicated that the burly striker, who is the joint leading top scorer in the Kenyan Premier League this season, had asked to be released and notified KPL management.
Now with the striker unreachable on phone, the club has confirmed officially that he has been suspended for being a divisive figure at the team ahead of the crucial final matches of the season with the team also scheduled to take on Gor Mahia in the Top 8 Cup final.
Club chairman Moses Adagala, who has been out of the country in the past five days, stated that he has a report on the striker from the technical team, indicating that the player has been suspended from the team until further notice and he confirmed he will be applying the advice of the technical bench to the letter.
“I have not been around for a few days and upon returning I found the team did not do so well in the past few matches and as such I also got a report from the technical bench indicating one of the reasons being negative energy in the team.
“It stated that Ochomo was suspended for that and I will be going with that because we are at a crucial stage of the season that we would better do without such sideshows,” he said.
