Kenyan premier league side Ulinzi Stars head coach Benjamin Nyangweso is confident that his charges will give their best as they face an uphill task of overturning a 4:0 defeat they succumbed at the hands of Egyptian side Smouha in the first leg of the CAF confederation cup played in Alexandria, Egypt.
“It is not an easy task because they are not an easy team as well. We need to work extra hard. It is a huge deficit but we must give our best,”
The tactician however bemoaned on the performance of his charges in the first leg, promising to correct the mistakes made in the match.
“We did not play as we had planned. They were faster than us and at times we struggled to keep up with the pace. It wasn’t anywhere close to our best performance. We have to go back now and correct the mistakes.”
Ulinzi who are Kenya’s only remaining representatives in the continental club competions after the league champions Tusker were bundled out in the CAF champions league will need to win 4-0 to force the game to penalties or by a margin of more than five goals to outrightly go through.
The match will be played on Saturday at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos
