KCCA FC have sounded a stern warning to Deportivo Premiero de Agosto promising a better showing in the CAF Champions League second leg encounter between February 17-19 at National Stadium in Luanda,Angola.
Coach Mike Mutebi said he is now well-versed with the type of football Premiero play and noted that they are ready to improve on their play and score away.
“We have the ability to score away from home, am glad we managed not to concede, and we take a goal with us, we just need to work on our abilities in front of goal and we will get the result we want,”said Mutebi in an interview with the club portal.
KCCA won the first leg match courtsey of Geoffrey Sserunkuma who rose high to head a pin point corner kick from Brian Majwega just after the breather to had Kasasiro boys the advantage.
A win will put any team in contention for $550, 000 (about Shs1.83b) for finishing fourth and third in the group of the CAF Champions League.
A spot in quarter-final will earn any side $650,000 (about Shs2.16b) and $875,000 (about Shs2.9b) for the semifinalists while the runner-ups take home $1,250,000 (about Shs830b).
The overall cash prize for the 2017 CAF Champions League winner will take home a cool $2.5m (about Shs8.3b).
