Yanga’s CAF confederations cup match against Ghanaian domestic cup winners Medeama FC could be staged at the CCM kirumba stadium in the lakeside city of Mwanza.
Soka25east has learnt that the Yanga management could shift the match to Mwanza where the jangwani based side have a huge following.
The match is scheduled for July 15th with the return leg a fortnight later.

Speaking separately to Tanzanian daily newspaper ‘The Daily news’The clubs secretary general Baraka Deusdedit did not deny or agree to the fact that the venue will be shifted but said they will reveal the venue at the right time.
The shift of venue could however go against CAF rules where a venue to be used must be submitted at the beginning of the tournament. Yanga listed The National stadium in Dar es Salaam as their venue with no alternative venue.
The last time Yanga played in Mwanza was the second leg of the Vodacom league when they beat Mwanza based side Toto Africans.
Yanga have lost all their opening matches of the continent’s second most decorated club tournament losing 1-0 away at Moloudia Olympique de Bejiaia and followed by a shock home loss to TP Mazembe.
Medeama on the other hand have a point following a goalless draw with MO Bejaia at home, they lost their opening match 3-1 at Mazembe.
