Nico United coach Dean Mwiinde is confident his side will rebound with an even stronger performance in the hunt for the Sankonyo Bush Bucks in team’s visit to Muan on Saturday.
Nico United lost by three goals to league champions Township Rollers on Sunday but the tactician believes his side were not bad.
“Township Rollers were not a better team than us but just that they had a luck break before half time. We conceded school boy type of goals.
The way forward is to know how to get up when you have fallen down and keep fighting. This was the first game of the season. It is during times likes this when we need to be united and motivate our players. We will be able to compete favourably” said Mwiinde.
In another development Botswana Premier League has apologized to clubs and football supporters following the recent unfortunate developments whereby a certain group of referees decided to boycott Premier League games on allegations of none or outstanding payments from the previous season.
In a comunication sent to media houses the contry’s football gorverning body said that given the sensitivity of this matter the national executive council is still carrying out investigations in order to get to the bottom of the situation.
