Mathare Youth Sports Association U13 boy’s team leaves the country Friday 18th July 2014 to take part in the largest youth tournament the Norway Cup. The contingent of 19 which is headed by the elected MYSA Executive Council chairperson (Esther Aluoch) and MYSA Executive Director (David Thiru) will leave the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport aboard Kenya Airways flight KQ116 at 08:25am.
The team will spend a week with host families at Brummundal in Norway, before travelling to Ekeberg fields in Oslo on the 26th of July ahead of the Norway cup which kicks off on Sunday, 27th July to the 2nd of August. After the Norway Cup the team will travel to the Netherlands where they will spend a week on invitation from Union Football club in Nijmegen for a exchange program and specialized training.
The team will arrive back home on the 11th of August at 06:10 in the morning aboard Kenya Airways flight KQ116. MYSA teams are ranked second to Pequeninos of Brazil on awards won in the history of the largest youth tournament in the World.
