Kenya’s representative in next year’s CAF Confederations cup Ulinzi Stars have requested the Confederation of African Football to allow them use their home ground of Africa instead of the usual Kasarani or Nyayo in Nairobi
According to Ulinzi Stars chairman Lt Colonel Erick Oloo, the stadium earned a facelift and therefore it was wise if it hosted such huge matches.
He said he has already asked FKF who will relay the same to CAF insisting that home advantage is what is needed when playing continentals football.
The county government of Nakuru led by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua renovated the stadium putting up spectator stands and refurbishing changing rooms
The last time the army side featured in a continental match was the CAF champions league five years ago where they lost 0-5 to Egyptian giants Zamalek.
