Napsa stars halted their Zesco United jinx with a 1-0 triumph at National Heroes stadium, this afternoon.

Synonymous to government retirees, enjoying their pensioning funds from Napsa, Zesco United bestrode this fixture since 2012.

A 14th minute goal courtesy of Collins Sikombe, handed Zesco United, their first loss of the 2017 Zambia Super league term.

Kenyan defender, David Owino was at fault for the goal, after attempting a soft back pass to his goalkeeper. The pacy Collins Sikombe was proximity to meet the ball and slotted it home to give Napsa a lead.

In the second half, the visitors, preempted every tactic in Zlatko Krimpotic’s coaching CV, however it failed to bear fruits.

Napsa coach, Tenant Chilumba heaped praises on his players after the game.

“We have been watching Zesco in almost four games. I think our game plan worked. We were composed with the ball”

“I’m happy with the endurance of the boys. We knew we were playing a very good team and so we worked on our tactics” Said Chilumba.

Zesco United coach, Zlatko Krimpotic was unsatisfied with the performance from his team and slammed playing conditions.
