Uganda coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojovic is expected tomorrow (Wednesday 2) to name expanded squad for upcoming friendly against Zambia, Tuesday, November 8, World Cup qualifier versus Congo Brazzaville, November 12, and later CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
An impeccable source from Ethiopia has intimated to Soka25east.com that St. George F.C trio of goalkeeper Robert Odongkara, Yassar Mugerwa and Isaac Isinde have been summoned to the team.
Mugerwa formerly of South Africa giants Orlando Pirates, and Odongkara, the reigning Ethiopian premier league top keeper, are making a comeback to the team after sometime in the cold, while defender Isinde has been a regular for the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.
Odonkara alongside Salim Jamal of Sudan’s El Merreikh are expected to cover for first choice keeper Dennis Onyango of Mamelodi Sundowns, who picked an injury during their CAF Champions League final second leg against Zamalek late October.
Uganda opened their road to Russia campaign in group “E” with an away barren draw against Ghana in Tamale; they will gauge themselves against Zambia before host Congo Brazzaville at the Namboole Stadium.
Zambia who lost 2-1 to Nigeria, will seek redemption against Cameroon in group “B” on Saturday 12.
