West Africa Football Academy ( WAFA ) will play host to Hearts of Oak in the Match Day 6 of the ongoing Normalisation Committee Special Competition at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Sunday, April, 21, 2019 at 3:00Pm.
The Academy Boys have been impressive in the novelty league so far winning two and drawing three. They have scored seven and conceded four. 3-1 vs Liberty Professionals, 1-1 vs Inter Allies, 2-1 vs Karela United, 1-1 vs Dreams FC and 0-0 vs Elmina Sharks.
The Phobians, meanwhile, have fared quite well in the competition winning three and losing two. They have also scored four and let in three. 1-0 vs Dreams FC, 1-0 vs Karela United, 1-0 vs Elmina Sharks, 1-0 vs Dwarfs and 0-1 vs Liberty Professionals.
WAFA have been strong at home – 3-1 vs Liberty Professionals and 2-1 vs Karela United whereas Hearts of Oak have been woeful on their travels – 1-0 vs Elmina Sharks and Karela United and the last time they lost at that venue was in 2017, 5-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
A win for either side could move them to the top of Group B log sheet if table toppers Karela United drop points in Elmina against Sharks.
After losing at Home to their regional neighbours, Hearts of Oak last weekend, Liberty Professionals will look to get back on winning ways when they welcome Dreams FC to the Carl Reindorf Park with Elmina Sharks taking on Karela United at the Nduom Sports Complex.
In other tasty clashes, Inter Allies will come up against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Tema Sports Stadium as Bechem United battle it out with Aduana Stars at the Nana Gyeabour Park in Bechem.
Medeama Sporting Club will slug of out with Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Tarkwa T and A park as Berekum Chelsea entertain Ashanti Gold at the Golden City Park.
