Pitso Masimone’s well-oiled Mamelodi Sundowns is not beatable twice on the bounce, the gaffer has declared.

Pitso who mentioned the special one Jose Mourinho more than once in his post-match address after qualifying the “Masandawana” to the finals of the 2016 CAF Champions League for the first time since 2001, was oozing confidence.

“It is very difficult for a team to beat Sundowns home and way on two games, then you need to be a super team, over 120 minutes you must be very good to beat us.” The boisterous former Bafana Bafana manager said.

“What I’m happy more about is that we kept consistency on the results at home and the two goals and we kept a clean sheet. My team has not been playing very well for the last three games and if Jose Maurinho was in South Africa they would have asked him for a technical report to explain why the team is winning, so what we are saying is don’t write us off and let’s keep going and we don’t need anybody’s favor.” He added.

The South Africans beat Zesco United of Zambia 2-0 with goals from Anthony Laffor and Percy Tau at the Moses Moripe stadium, Pretoria on Saturday 24 go through on 3-2 aggregate win; they will take on five times champions Zamalek SC of Egypt in the two legged finals.

He took a swipe at those who say they rejoined the competition through the backdoor after DRC’s AS Vita Club was disqualified, asking if the latest feat was also through the backdoor,

“The boys deserve credit, they have done very well, we came from nowhere, from holiday to the CAF finals, we deserve it. I know somebody said we went through the backdoor, but I don’t know how we qualified for the finals, is it still through the backdoor?” he posed.
