Zambia U20 National team reached the Quarter finals of the 2017 U20 World Cup for the very first time in their history a feat the all country is proud of. Ngosa Sunzu, a lanky 19 year old talented midfielder was part of Coach Beston Chambeshi’s squad despite only featuring once in the 1 nil loss to Costa Rica, the youngster is overwhelmed with joy.
” Am very happy that I was called to represent my country at the highest level for this age group. Coming from Napsa Stars and my stint in Israel also helped me improve my game for the world cup hence am grateful to both Clubs,” He said.
Ngosa believes whatever the team achieved towards and during the 2017 U20 World Cup tournament was all God’s doing.
” We are a prayerful team, We believe in God. Whatever we did at the world cup was all God’s doing and hence we give him all the glory,” Ngosa said
Born on 19th June 1998, Ngosa is the sixth member in a family of seven, 5 boys and 2 girls. All four of Ngosa’s brothers are footballers and one of them Stophilla Sunzu scored Chipolopolo’s winning penalty at the 2012 Africa cup of nations tournament , A shadow Ngosa is eager to come out of and shine on his own.
“Obviously people want to associate me with my elder brothers success but I want to outperform my family name so that the Ngosa name is out there,” Ngosa told soka25east.com in an exclusive interview.
The youngester has promised the nation that their is more to come from him.
“Like i said before, It was a privilege for me to be part of such a wonderful team. so far so good but I want to promise the country that their is more to come from me,” he said.
