FKF President Nick Mwendwa yesterday said Kenya will bid to host the 2020 World Cup U17 .He was addressing the media yesterday in Nairobi.
He also said the planned friendly between Uganda and Kenya will take place at the Machakos Stadium
Kenya will play with their neighbours Uganda on 23rd March at the Machakos County Stadium
FKF has announced that VIP tickets will be sold at Ksh.300 while terrace tickets will trade at Ksh.100.
Also the FKF president agreed with the court ruling and welcomed back Muhoroni and Sofapaka saying he had no bad feelings for them
He said the criteria for relegation and promotion has been determined to avoid problems at the end
Two teams will be relegated and a third one (position 16) will have to fight for a play off with the third team(positiom three) in the NSL
Speaking to the press yesterday, the Kenya football boss said “want to be categorically clear on the demotion and relegation criteria we will use at the end of the season so that it doesn’t raise issues. The two last teams in the KPL will face automatic relegation with the 16th placed team squaring it out with the third best team in the NSL,”
“I want to welcome both Muhoroni Youth and Sofapaka into the league and I want to let everyone know that the federation is not against any team. CAF Licensing is a process that will be happening every year before the start of the season,” Mwendwa said
He also concluded by stating that Kenya will bid for the World Cup U17 then later confirmed their preparedness to host a success CHAN tournament.
