Nigeria coach Florence Omagbemi has announced her squad to represent the country at African Women’s Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Arsenal Ladies starlet Asisat Oshoala and PSG Ladies’s Ngozi Ebere are among the foreign players on the list.
New players included in the team are Faith Ikidi, Onome Ebi, Evelyn Nwabuoko, Rita Chikwelu and Osinachi Ohale.
Missing in the squad is long serving captain Evelyn Nwabouku who has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
Nigeria’s squad is made up of 21 players and was scheduled to leave Abuja this morning for Cameroon.The showcase begins on November 19 to Deceember 3 with eight teams,divided in two groups participating.
Group A has hosts Cameroon, South Africa, Egypt and Zimbabwe while Harambee Starlets are in Group B with defending champions Nigeria, Ghana and Mali.
Hosts Cameroon will take on Egypt in the opening game of the tournament on November 19 with the Falcons facing Mali on November 20 at Stade Municipal de Limbe.
