Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been left out of the Nigeria Super Eagles squad by coach Gehr Rohr amid his poor form this season making life even tough for him at his club.
The forward has not scored a single goal, for Leicester or Nigeria, since September and has found minutes hard to come by in the Premier League.
Jamie Vardy remains Leicester’s first-choice centre-forward and scored his 10th league goal of the season in their 2-1 defeat to Watford in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 22-year-old has two goals and three assists in all competitions for Leicester this season, having made 29 appearances.
Iheanacho joined Leicester from Manchester City in 2017 for a fee in the region of £25m and has only managed ten goals in 56 appearances for the club since his move from the current Premier League champions.
