Nigeria’s Super Falcons striker Desire Oparanozie has confirmed that she will be leaving French club Guingamp after her contract ended.
Oparanozie who has spent six years at the club, made 106 appearances with 45 goals to her name.
All the remaining matches in France have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic bringing an end to her contract.
“After spending six fantastic years playing in France for En Avant de Guingamp, I won’t be continuing with them for next season,” she said in a video on Instagram.
Oparanozie adds, “I will be starting a new chapter.
“So I wanna use this opportunity to thank everyone at the club, the board members, the coaching crew, my teammates, the staff and most importantly the fans – Thank you for those amazing years.
The Super Falcons forward joined the French women’s top division side 2014 from Turkish outfit Ataşehir Belediyespor and says she is yet to decide her next move.
“As for my real fans, I know what the question is. Where to next? Well, stay tuned for my next update.
“Keep safe and stay healthy at all times. Love you,” She concluded
