Nigeria International, Chrisantus Macauley has signed for Finnish top-tier side HJK Helsinki.
The 27 year-old forward joined the Helsinki-based club from Real Marcia on a year deal with an option to renew after passing his medicals.
”Chrisantus is still a very potential striker, able to play as densely as on the land. Macky has done good things in quite a lot of times and we believe that HJK is an environment in which he is able to develop further.”
”In this way, we get more competition and alternatives to our attacking equipment, and of course our look is already coming next season. In addition, Macky is a positive and cheerful person, which is always a good thing.” football leader Juho Rantala said on the club’s official website.
Macauley has plenty of experience having played for some clubs in Europe such as Hamburger SV, Karlsruher SC, FSV Frankfurt, Las Palmas, Sivasspor and AEK Athens.
He won the best player and also helped the Super Eaglet win the FIFA U-17 World Cup in South Korea in 2007.
