Nkana striker Simon Bwalya says the team is itching for their opening day of the season date against Nkwazi.
The 12-time Zambian champions travel to Nkwazi in a 2016 Super League Week 1 on March 12 in Lusaka.
Last season, Nkana beat Nkwazi 1-0 away at Edwin Emboela Stadium in August thanks to a Fred Tshimenga goal to pick up their first win over the police outfit in three meetings.
The match was sweet revenge for Nkana who suffered a 2-1 home loss in the first leg played in Kitwe last April in Kitwe.
“We are looking forward to the match. We are very ready for the match and we are winning it,” Bwalya said.
Interestingly, Nkana have not lost away at Nkwazi since 2008 where they were defeated 2-0.
Since then, Nkana has picked up three wins and a draw against Nkwazi who were promoted back to the Super League in the 2015 season.
Nkwazi and Nkana finished sixth and eighth on 43 and 41 points respectively on the 2015 Faz Super League log.
Meanwhile, Nkana will follow up their opening day fixture with a home date against Green Eagles in Week 2 during the weekend of March 26.
