Mozambique Football Federation (FMF) is on verge of appointing new coach for the Mambas.
According to sources former national team coach Martinus Ingatious Mart Nooij and Diamantino Miranda are in frame to replace the under siege Abel Xavier.
Apart from the two well-known coaches,the federation is also having discussions with Ukrainian born Viktor Bondarenko and former Portugal international Manuel Michando.
Impeccable sources told soka25east yesterday that Nooij has already had talks with FMF chief Feizal Sidat.
Nooij is also scheduled to meet Sports Minister at undisclosed location but with these meetings coming to light, his emergency trip to Maputo can now be explained.
The Dutch formely managed Tanzania,Burkina Faso’s U20 team at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship as well as St George FC of Ethiopia.
If appointed Nooj will be making a comeback to the Mambas team that he led to qualify for the 2010 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
