Zesco United coach Mumamba Numba has declared his charges ready for tomorrow’s ABSA Cup final against Lusaka Dynamos.
Numba says the six-time champions will be ready for Dynamos.
“Our troops are ready for the challenge ahead, we only hope that they will rise to the challenge,” he said.
Numba said his charges will be looking to carrying their red-hot form in the Super League into the final.
“We have done our preparations, we are playing our fellow bigger teams Lusaka Dynamos, one of the best assembled sides in the country. We expect a tough game. It is a 50/50 and depends on how each team will prepare.”
He said being defending champions will not make Zesco United relax as they battle with Lusaka Dynamos.
“We are going into this game as defending champions, but it does not mean that it is a walkover. We must work hard on the pitch because football is played on the pitch.”
He added: “There is nothing like we have an edge over our opponents, but we have to fight for it.”
Zesco United trades swords with Lusaka Dynamos in the K3.8 million rich competition.
Winners of the tournament will walk away with K600, 000 with the Player of the Tournament and Coach of the Tournament getting K25, 000 each.
For the Man of the Match prize, ABSA has been giving out K15, 000.
