Mac Millan Walter Nyamilandu was re-elected for a fifth term as Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president on Saturday evening at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi to secure another four years in charge.
Nyamilandu who has run FAM for the last 15 years, was voted in by an overwhelming majority, winning 23 votes of the 36 cast, against challenger James Mwenda who garnered 13 votes.
“I’m a happy man after getting a new mandate,” said Nyamilandu.
“My win is a win for football in Malawi as a have a chance to continue with our development agenda for the growth of football in Malawi”Nyamilandu told www.soka25east.com
Nyamilandu doubles up as CAF Exco member and FIFA Council member.
