Ulinzi Stars coach, Benjamin Nyangweso is very confident his club will surely progress to the group stages of CAF Confederation Cup as they prepare to take on Egyptian side Smouha away in Alexandria on Friday.
Nyangweso indicated that his team is ready for the task in a post match interview after Saturday’s friendly match aganist AFC Leopards which resulted to a barren draw.
“It was a very good match against a tough opponent and I am happy with the way we played. In terms of organization and team shape there has been great movement and I have no doubt we are ready for Friday,”said Nyangweso.
“We still have some bit to do in terms of finishing but overall, I am pleased with how the team is after the two weeks of training.”he added.
Ulinzi progressed to the first round after beating Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi 5-4 on penalties in the preliminary round and will be without their depedable striker John Makwatta who has sent resignation letter to the club indicating that he has received an offer in Slovakia.
