Emmanuel Obitre goal was enough to hand Kiira Young a vital 1-0 home win over Express FC in a nail biting match held at Mandela National stadium in the FUFA super League.
The win lifted Kiira to top spot on 34 points, two ahead of URA who moved to second following a 2-1 win over Entebbe FC at Wankulukuku Stadium. Goals from midfielder Feni Ali and striker Erisa Sekisambu lifted the visitors URA from 4th to second with 32 points. Yusuf Kinene netted for the home side Entebbe.
At the recreation ground in Masaka, home side Masaka FC drew 1-1 with Simba. Kaweesi Mahad scored for Masaka while Alex Witaba got the army side’s goal.
At Kavumba stadium, Veteran Peter Senyonjo netted the only goal for new comers Soana FC who beat Police FC 1-0.
At Kakindu stadium, Asiku Crespo and Kivumbi Maryin were on target for BUL as they beat Vipers FC 2-1. Cranes midfielder Joseph Mpande scored a 79th consolation goal for Vipers who started the day on top of the table on 32 points. This was the first ever win for BUL FC in six attempts.
At KCCA Stadium in Lugogo, Proline picked up their first point of the second round in three games after holding SCVU to a goalless draw.
At Nakivubo stadium, Bright stars drew 1-1 with Sc villa. Anthony Bongole scored for Bright stars while Ronald Muganga for the Uganda super league record champions with 14 titles SC Villa.
