In a bid to seal the big void left behind with the departure of influencial midfielder Khalid Aucho, Gor Mahia have ropped in Crispin Odula on a two year contract.

While welcoming him to the reigning “SportPesa Premier League” champions, club chairman Mr. Ambrose Dickson Otieno Rachier hailed the 26 years old’s experience as an asset to the team.

“Crispin Odula is a seasoned midfielder. He should be an asset in our attacking and central midfield. We welcome him to Kogalo family,” the chairman told official club’s website.

On his part, the player expressed delight in joining the 15-times champions promising to work hard – to be of help to the team.

“It was nice to join SPL champions and I don’t have much to say. Mine is to work hard and help the team that’s all I can say and God will guide me to achieve my goals,” Odula told Soka25east.com.

Odula who was in Finland playing for second tier league side AC Oulu FC previously played for Coast Stars, Tusker FC, Azam and Coastal Union of Tanzania.

As Ugandan Aucho leaves for trials in Scotland with Aberdeen, Odula could be the man to make the “Green Army” forget their blue eyed boy.

However it won’t be a walk in the park for him – for he will have to fight it out with Collins Okoth and Ernest Wendo at the heart of the midfield for a starting berth.

Odula who was also linked with a move to AFC Leopards becomes the fourth and the last signing for K’Ogalo as the transfer deadline draws to a close tomorrow midnight.

Other signings include, defender Wellington Ochieng, striker Meddie Kagere and attacking midfielder Baron Oketch.

Gor kick start the last lap of the league and title defense with an away fixture to Thika United on Sunday where some of the new catch may feature.
