Afriyie Acquah has joined Turkish top-tier outfit Yeni Matalyaspor as a free agent.
The Ghanaian signed the dotted lines in a 2-year contract with a further 1 year after completing a routine medical test.
The defensive midfielder spent last season on loan at – Empoli, scoring 2 goals from 28 appearances.

“As a result of the recent talks today, our new Malatyaspor signed a 2 + 1 year contract with the central midfielder Afriyie Acquah, who played for the Italian League Empoli FC.
Capped 36 times with 1 goal for the Senior National football team, Black Stars was part of Kwesi Appiah’s 23-man squad for the Total 2019 Afcon in Egypt.
27 year-old Acquah has played for Palermo and had stints with Sampdoria, Parma and Torino in Italy.
Also, he has played for Ghanaian football clubs such as Prestea Minestars and Bechem United.
