Napsa Stars Football Club have signed Mighty Mufurila Wanderers winger Austin Banda Jr on a 2 year deal with a provision of an extension with the players concent. The fee could not however be revealed.
The talented winger confirmed the development in an interview with Soka25east.com. Banda cited Tenant Chilumba and family living in Lusaka as some of the reasons he has joined Napsa Stars.
“The thought of being close with family, Because I have stayed in the copperbelt for four years and I think its high time I went back to my home town. No wonder when Napsa approached me I did not refuse,and I was offered a good contract aswell”- Banda said
” I am trying to develop my career and at Napsa stars they have got an experienced coach (Tenant Chilumba) who can help me do that. The fact that he is coach is the U23 is an added advantage as working with him can be a good opportunity “- he further added
Austin is very eager to join the Chipolopolo set be it at U23 or National team level.
” Joining the U23 set up is one of my targets. for next season,even the senior team too. I have already played for the under 20 in 2013/2014 so if I will have an opportunity to play for th e U23 it will be step forward”- Banda said.
