NKANA former goalkeeper Scott Ngokene has joined promoted Super Division side Buildcon football club on a one year contract as a free agent.

Ngokene’s has been out of contract since last December when Nkana decided against extending the Congolese’s deal with the 12 – time Champions.

Ngokene said in an exclusive interview that he is delighted to join the Ndola side and remains determined to contribute to the team’s success in the 2017 season.

“I am happy, I will be playing elite football this year, Buildcon have an exciting project and I am proud to be part of it, I cannot wait for the season to start,” he said.

Ngokene said he signed for Buildcon because wanted to try out something new after turning down an offer from his former club Napsa Stars.

He also thanked Nkana for offering him an opportunity during his two season stint at the club.

“Nkana will forever be a big club, the offered me an opportunity to play for such a historical club and I say thank you to them and the supporters.

“it was a honour to play for Nkana, great fans good facilities and rich history I have improved as a player and I will keep working hard to ensure that I am a good athlete and repay the faith of my new club, “” he said
