Arsenal have signed Thomas Partey from Athletico Madrid on transfer deadline day after triggering his £45m release clause.
The club confirmed the Krobo-Odumase born and bread pennned a long-term contract on Monday, October 5 after successfully passing a medical check-up.
The Ghana International has been on the Gunners’ list since 2018.
Thomas Partey joined Athletico Madrid in 2011, playing 188 games across all competition, scoring 16 goals and providing 12 assists.
He was instrumental for the Madrid-based outfit as they finished third in 2019/2020 La Liga season.
The 6 feet, 1 inch midfielder won the 2017-2018 Europa League as well as the 2018 Super Cup wand was a Champions League runner-up in 2016.
Thomas Partey will wear the no.18 shirt and he join his new teammates when he return from international duty with Ghana.
Partey has been capped 27 times for the Black Stars, scoring 10 goals.
