Ghana’s Musah Nuhu has officially joined Swiss top-tier side FC St Gallen 1879 on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old completed the move on Thursday after a successful medical examination.

A message from the club’s official twitter handle, reads,”He @FCSG_1879 borrowed Musah #Nuhu for a year from the @WAFAcademySC. Welcome to FCSG, Musah. #transfer #fcsg.”

Nuhu unites with former Academy teammate Majeed Ashimeru, who switched to the Saint-Gallen based club on loan from Austrian side RedBull Salzburg.

He could make his debut in the Swiss cup on Sunday afternoon vs Neuchatel Xamax.

FC St Gallen hold the 5th spot on the league standing with 7 points from 5 games.

He joined the Sogakope-based club in 2016 following the demotion of New Edubiase United from the Ghana Premier League.

Nuhu made 12 appearances and scored 2 goals for West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) in the first round of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The defender was instrumental in the Black Stars B team that won the WAFU Zone B cup held in Ghana in September 2017.
