The only two Ethiopians playing outside the country in an African topflight league, Omud Okori and Shimeles Bekele met in Egyptian premier league Saturday, October 29t, 2016.
Okori was a substitute as his side El Entag El-Harby fell to Shemeles’ Petroject 1-0 at Al Salam stadium.
Mohammed scored the lone goal in the 49th through a well taken kick-kick, and shortly S. Amin came on for Okari who played as a winger in the 55th minute.
Shimeles on the other hand played the entire length of the match. Despite not scoring, he set up Nigerian Victor Yobo in the 37th minute with a superb split pass, but the striker failed to bury the ball.
Petrojet are third in the table standings on 15 points, two behind leaders Al Ahly, after 7 fixtures. El Entag are 15th in the 18-team league, with 3 points from 6 matches.
