Kenyan striker Michael Olunga was introduced in the second half for Mathias Ranege as Djurgadens pulled a surprising 5-0 drubbing of Falkenbergs at the Tele2 Arena stadium in Stockholm city tonight.
The massive win subsequently puts Djurgadens at the top of the Swedish top league, the Allsvenskan with six points same as IFK Gothenburg and Joenkoeping Soedra.
The hosts scored two goals in the first half courtesy of Sam Johnson’s 6th minute goal and a Mathias penalty.
The second half was a one sided affair with Djurgadens dominating proceedings. Sam Johnson added his second of the day and third for Djurgadens in the 54th minute before Kevin Walker extended the lead to four in the 67th minute.
The night was not over for Djurgadens as Omar Colley scored the fifth goal in the 71st minute as the cheering 6200 fans went on jubilation.
Djurgadens next league match will be away at 9th placed Geffle on 10th April in round three.
