By James Mwangi,
After months of uncertainity Kenyan International midfielder Macdonald Mariga made his way back to Parma on a free transfer after Inter Milan where he curved his niche winning the Champions League offloaded him.
The talented midfielder who had been dogged by a nagging Knee injury but eventually was able to make a comeback will certainly feel relieved going back to a team that he knows well.
Parma made the grand annoucement on their official twitter account announcing in Italian Mariga is now playing .Good to see that Big Mac is back .
Mariga grabbed media headlines in January 2010 transfer window of 2010 when current Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, then with Inter Milan, snapped him on the last day of the transfer being the first Kenyan to play in the Serie A.
2010 will remain memorable to Mariga when he won the treble
from Uefa Champions League trophy, the Italian Serie A (2009-2010), Coppa Italia, (2010, 2011), Supercoppa Italiana (2010), and the Fifa Club World Cup (2010) as an Inter Milan player.
The turning point to Mariga’s injury was when he suffered the knee Injury that kept on nagging despite different surgeries intended to correct it.Mariga getting the lifeline after being out of contract is a sign of his comeback as he also made a return to the Kenya Harambee Stars national team after almost two years out .
