Uganda Premier League newly promoted side Onduparaka FC have captured the signature of Uganda U-20 international Emmanuel Olinga on a two year contract.
The 18 year old midfielder has done duty for clubs like Water FC in Uganda and Gor Mahia junior team in Kenya.
He has also been part of the Ugandan national U-20 team impressing Onduparaka FC scouts.He was also romoured to be heading to URA football in May this year in a deal that failed to materialize.
Being the latest acquisition the move has caused excitement among club fans.
“It is exciting to have Olinga in the team. His inclusion would help strengthen our midfield and give us more options for the big task ahead,” said one Onduparaka fan who did not want his name disclosed.
“The new signings know that they have to do more and I am glad that they have the quality and standards we need” he added.
Onduparaka is one of the most followed club in Uganda and for Olinga having played for Gor he knows the pressure that come with it.
