Onduparaka FC custodian Richard Anyama is keen to maintain his form of run when his side battles Proline FC in a Azam Uganda Premier League match at Philip Omondi Stadium on Tuesday 7th February 2017.
Anyama has managed to keep five clean sheets during the first round and he is hoping the trend will continue against inconsistent Lugogo based side, who have kept only two clean sheets since the beginning of the season.
“I am expecting to perform well to the best of my ability.I will give my best in the second leg as i am looking to extend my record to thirteen cleans sheets,” Anyama told soka25east on Monday.
“I feel good to have achieved the fete, but it is all about team effort. Without good defenders, this would have been impossible to achieve. As a goalkeeper, it gives you confidence and morale”,he added.
Onduparaka FC have embarked on serious preparations ahead of the second half of UPL having finished the first round in third position with 25 points,seven behind league leaders KCCA FC.
The Caterpillars as they are popuraly known with be facing fifteen time Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia in an international friendly match at Nelson Mandela Stadium,Nambolee on Saturday 4th February 2017.
