Arua based side Onduparaka Betway FC registered their first international win on their first attempt against Kenyan giants Gor mahia in a friendly match played at Mandela national stadium, Namboole on rainy Saturday evening.

The Caterpillars took the lead in the first half through danger man Kabon Living “Messi”capitalising on a Bonface Oluoch blunder from a Gadinho free kick.

The Kenyan giants tried to level matters but the Onduparaka defence marshaled by captain Rashid Toha was firm.

In the second half, the home side killed off the match with another Kabon goal this time comfortably beating goalkeeper Oluoch in a one on one situation and scoring in an empty net to make it 2-0 after 90minutes.

Onduparaka FC missed the services of their inspirational skipper Muhammad Shaban who was only fit to make the bench with a hip injury he got while in Gabon with Uganda Cranes.

The match was also graced by FDC president Retired Col. DR. Kiiza Besigye.
