Uganda Cranes and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Masinde Onyango paid a courtesy visit to his former club Sports Club Villa at Villa Park on Monday evening and donated football equipments including jerseys, gloves and balls.
“I have always wanted to come back the club that made me, but my schedule has been tight, it’s always good to remember where you came from. Villa is and will always be my home,” he said.
The former St.George FC, Supersport FC, Bidvest Wits and Mpumalanga Black Aces shot stopper was not part of the Uganda Cranes travelling contigent to Tunisia as he was given time to rest after a long season.
He will leave for Abuja, Nigeria to attend the CAF Awards on 5th January where he is a top contestant for the African Player of the Year based in Africa Award, and later connect to Dubai to team up with the rest of the Uganda Cranes squad.
