Its not business as usual in Sierra Leone as panic has gripped the countries football with FIFA integrity checks set to lay to rest the corrupt and match fixers who have put the game to disrepute.
Some of the well known culprits being investigated have gone on to try and rubbish FIFA using gorilla tactics maligning Secretaty General Fatma Samoura and any journalists who writes about the real issues affecting Sierra Leone football.
There is an African saying that goes when its time up all the monkeys find that every tree slides and they have nothing to hold on to and that is the typical scenario many of the betting syndicates that have contributed largely to match fixing in football in Sierra Leone find themselves in at the moment as they try to cry wolf seeking help from every quarter yet when things were good and rosy they enjoyed and laughed with glee as things went badly for the game.
Its absurd and ironical when some of the known culprits talk about Sierra Leone being mortgaged to FIFA just because they find themselves deeply involved in the anomalies but when they were doing them the were the big fish that could not be touched as they spoke money and used money to stop any justifications.
The integrity of Sierra Leone football will remain intact when FIFA checks the integrity of each and every delegate at the congress,judicial bodies and electoral board this will help determine who is clean and help weed out the corrupt who are out to destroy Sierra Leone football by their past and current deeds as they try to threaten everyone who stands on their way.
The cry babies now try to accuse both CAF and FIFA while thinking Sierra Leone football can be run in isolation so that they can do as they wish yet they clearly know its time up to pack and let football be run with integrity.
If anyone feels he or she is innocent then why do they fear appearing before the task force and let their names be cleared?Why do they see it as a ploy to turnish their names ?Sierra Leone football must remain clean from manipulations,match fixing,bribery and many more ills that have bedevilled it through betting schemes who are out to destroy the beautiful game using large sums of money not meant for development of the game but to destroy the game.
